Managing Data Quality

Background

The quality and completeness of Scotland's national data is key to ISD Scotland's role as a health information provider.

To support data quality, ISD provide advice, training and guidance on definitions and standards for data gathering, clinical coding, data validation, accreditation and quality assurance. Collaboration with colleagues throughout Scotland.is essential to every aspect of managing the quality and completeness of national data.

This Managing Data Quality area of the Scottish Health Statistics website provides details of all of these services and aims to provide those involved in the management of data, with online information to help support them in this process.
