Police powers and procedures
The annual statistics bulletin 'Police Powers and Procedures, England and Wales' contains figures by police force area for the subjects listed below. Prior to 2007/08, the data presented in chapters 1 to 4 of the bulletin were published in various separate publications, for which links are given under each category.
- Arrests and Detentions (chapter 1) - Number of persons arrested by the police by offence group, gender and age group, as well as the number of persons detained for more than 24 hoursunder PACE.
