Report on the implementation of Law Commission proposals

Date: 24 January 2011

Law Commission

The first annual report to be presented to Parliament on the extent to which Law Commission proposals have been implemented by the Government.

The Law Commission Act 2009, which came into force on 12 January 2010, includes a number of provisions which are aimed at increasing the implementation of Law Commission proposals. One of these provisions places a duty on the Lord Chancellor to report to Parliament each year on the extent to which Law Commission proposals have been implemented by the Government during that year.

This is the first annual report to be published pursuant to the Law Commission Act 2009.  It relates to the period 12 January 2010 to 11 January 2011.
