Appointment of a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal of the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health)

The Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP, has appointed Ian Peter Dumont to be a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal of the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health).

Mr Dumont will be assigned to the Northern Region and based in Manchester, with effect from 1 April 2010.

Notes to editors

Ian Peter Dumont is 53 and will be known as Judge Dumont. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1983. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Tribunal Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Mental Health) in 1999.
