Advisory groups

Civil Procedure Rule Committee

The Civil Procedure Rule Committee is an advisory non-departmental public body set up under the Civil Procedure Act 1997 to make rules of court for the Civil Division of the Court of Appeal, the High Court and the county courts.

Criminal Procedure Rule Committee

The Criminal Procedure Rule Committee is responsible for modernising court procedure and practice and making the Criminal Procedure Rules.

Family Procedure Rule Committee

The Family Procedure Rule Committee is a non-departmental public body set up under the Courts Act 2003 to make rules of court for use in family proceedings.

Advisory Panel on Judicial Diversity

The Advisory Panel on Judicial Diversity was established in April 2009.

Burial and cemeteries advisory group

The burial and cemeteries advisory group was set up to use the collective expertise of the industry to provide advice and information for burial authorities, the public and government.
