How can I apply?

We offer three ways to apply for compensation:

Online

Our online application for compensation should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete - as long as you have all the relevant information with you.

You may find it useful to read the Can I apply? section of our website, which will help you find out if you are likely to be eligible for compensation, before you start.

Through Victim Support

You can get free, confidential support from Victim Support (England and Wales) / Victim Support (Scotland), the national charity that helps people affected by crime. They can help you fill out our forms, and some offices can support you throughout your claim by dealing with us on your behalf. You can find out where your nearest Victim Support office is by looking at their website, or calling the Victim Supportline on 0845 30 30 900.

By post

You can apply for compensation by post.
