Case Studies

Since 1999, SGOSS has enabled people to become school governors, worked with companies to enhance their CSR programmes, assisted Local Authorities with governor recruitment and helped schools fill vacancies on their governing bodies. On this page you will find some testimonies from these groups.

Volunteers

SGOSS has helped find placements for thousands of school governor volunteers, who have taken the opportunity to get more involved in their community, add value to local education and develop their skills along the way.

Schools

Hundreds of schools throughout England have filled vacancies on their governing body by registering them with SGOSS.  Schools are welcome to highlight any desired skills that may be relevant.

Local Authorities

SGOSS has worked hard to develop powerful and sustainable relationships with Local Authorities throughout England. If you are a Local Authority that is not currently working closely with SGOSS and would like to see how we might be able to help, please view the case studies.  Even if we are already working together, there may be an opportunity to do more.

Employers

Governance provides proven development opportunities to those who volunteer, builds links with the local community and gives employers the opportunity to add real value to education and provide local schools with skilled volunteers.
