New Relationship with Schools update

On 9 March 2005 the document A New Relationship with Schools: Next steps (Ref: DFES-1288-2005) was published. This sets out the practical changes that are planned, what this means for local authorities, schools, governors, parents and pupils. It also sets out the timetable for change and the actions that schools and local authorities could start to take now. High-level guidance for schools – A New Relationship with Schools: Improving performance through school self-evaluation and development planning, has also been issued jointly by the DfES and Ofsted.

See GovernorNet's article about the New Relationship with Schools for more information.
