“Employers’ assessment of impact on business needs shows an improving trend or a sustained high level of performance.”

This one day workshop is suitable for organisations that already hold TQS Certification as well as those working towards assessment. The day builds on the Technical Note issued in July and focuses on the Results indicator A.5.2 (Impact Employers’). It looks more closely at what is meant by ‘impact’ within the context of the Standard, and how you can look critically at what your organisation does around this aspect of employer responsiveness.

What does the day look like?

The day is a mixture of presentations, exercises and discussion. The morning looks at impact more broadly: what it can mean within training and what it means within the context of the Standard and assessment. It then moves on to look how other indicators affect impact, how Results are scored, and importantly at what impact doesn’t have to be. The afternoon builds on the morning by looking at some of the considerations organisations that want to capture impact need to think about. This also means showing you how to look more critically at what you are measuring and, crucially, what steps can be taken to improve the quality of the data you’re currently capturing.

Timings

Each workshop will start at 10am and will conclude at 3.30pm. Time will also be available to consult with a Licensed Assessor following the Workshop. The agenda for each day looks like this:

Who should attend?

The workshop is open to anyone. If you hold Certification, attendance should include the person that was responsible for your submission or the person who will be responsible for your submission in future. In addition, if you are working towards Certification, or already hold it, it helps if more than one person can attend from your organisation; while this isn’t essential, it will allow you to discuss what you think the information gained on the day means specifically to you.

Cost
