Emergency First Aid at Work

Previously known as Appointed Person First Aid, this is a one day Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognised first aid course. Designed to give the employer a larger coverage for First Aid in the workplace where a risk assessment has determined that more trained personnel are required. Learners will receive a recognised certificate.

Previously known as Appointed Person First Aid, this is a one day Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recognised first aid course. Designed to give the employer a larger coverage for First Aid in the workplace where a risk assessment has determined that more trained personnel are required. Learners will receive a recognised certificate.

This course will help you to:

Understand priorities of First Aid and equipment
Become aware of the duties of a First Aider
Understand Basic Life Support and CPR
Know about advanced trauma management
Carry out treatment for wounds, bleeding, fractures, dislocations, soft tissue injuries
Treat for burns, scalds and also shock
Have knowledge of dressings and bandages
This course will be repeated on 11 January, 3 March, 5 May and 7 July 2011.
