In2action specialises in Adventure and Activity Holidays for children and young people and also offers a range of consultancy and business services to the Active Leisure, Holiday and School Tour sectors. It employs and manages staff, both in the UK and abroad, to deliver the very best in activity instruction and childcare in partnership with market leading leisure companies such as First Choice Holidays.
In2action employs a large number of seasonal staff (over 200 in 2008) and operates across a large number of popular holiday destinations, so its regional managers have a varied set of training needs. The company found other training providers too inflexible to meet its business needs and approached HTP training - one of the first to achieve the Training Quality Standard indicating that it is among the top employer responsive training providers in the country.
As George Ross, Managing Director of In2action explains:
“HTP took the time to understand our business and worked with us to develop a bespoke training package that really catered to our needs- that’s what makes Training Quality Standard providers so valuable.”
In2action trains its regional mangers through HTP training and each action team manager is currently working towards a level 3 NVQ. HTP’s training has proved highly effective for In2action, in general George Ross feels that it really helps with staff motivation and makes them feel valued.
“We carry out quality audits four times a year and since we started using a Training Quality Stand provider we have seen an increase in staff retention, especially in the management area as we are developing them as individuals.”
Apart from helping to create a much more motivated workforce the training In2action has done has also helped it to increase its customer satisfaction scores year on year.
