Design review

Design review explains how CABE’s design review panel of industry experts assesses good design in architecture, urban design and public space.

It provides guidance on how we evaluate schemes, from site planning through to the final project, and considers such issues as procurement and the role of the planning system.

First published in 2001, this second edition reflects both the popularity of the original publication and changes in legislation. It builds on existing guidance by drawing on CABE's experience in reviewing schemes across England.
