Recruitment drive for CABE commissioners

3 April 2007

CABE's board of commissioners is responsible for developing our policies, character and strategic direction and overseeing the delivery of our objectives.

There are three vacancies on CABE's board and applications are invited before 30 April.

CABE has a non-executive board of up to 16 commissioners, chaired by John Sorrell. They develop CABE's policies, character and strategic direction and oversee the delivery of the organisation's objectives. Applications are encouraged this year in particular from inidviduals with skills and experience in: delivering major building projects in the private or public sector; the housebuilding industry; the built environment professions; and in inclusive design.

The appointments are made by the secretary of state for culture, media and sport for a period of four years, with two starting on 4 July and the third on 14 December.

CABE is grateful to the commissioners who are being replaced, Dickon Robinson, Louisa Hutton and Brian Boylan. Each has made a significant contribution during their time at CABE.

Further information, including how to apply, can be found on the DCMS website.
