Entering a housing scheme for the 2009 awards is as simple as filling out the first two sections of the application form and getting it to Building for Life by Tuesday 30 June 2009.  They will contact you for additional information.

Email bfl@cabe.org.uk or call Sam McCauley on 020 7070 6762 with questions about the awards.

Why should I enter the awards?

Winning a Building for Life award is the first step in gaining national recognition for your scheme.  You only have to look at some past winners to see how visionary schemes are rewarded:

Accordia became the first housing development to win the RIBA Stirling Prize.

Who can enter?

Any new housing scheme can enter as long as it was completed by 1 April 2008 or was at least 50% complete by 30 June 2009.

You don't have to be the architect or developer to enter a scheme - anyone can submit a new development if you think it meets the Building for Life criteria.
