St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, Gateshead

This school plans to transform an area of unused land in the school grounds with a permanent but flexible structure to enhance pupils’ creative thinking.

As part of The den project, pupils will take part in a design competition, visit local landmarks, explore the flexibility of a structure for role play (eg house, castle, shop) and work with a building firm to select materials and learn how structures are built.
