Haringey Sixth Form College, London
This college is keen to engage art students in more 3D work relating to HE courses in architectural, product and interior design.
In the Occupation project, students will explore questions like ‘how could the job we do dictate and how we use and possess a place?’. They will explore the role of an architect, do creative research and design a room for a particular person/occupation of their choice.
Judges' comments
‘This was an interesting example of how built environment education could be included in the curriculum at Art A-level. We also liked the fact that this project responded to an exam board’s subject advisor’s comments on students’ interest in 3D design. The fact that this project was clearly teacher led was also attractive.’
