Education grant winners 2009-10
At the end of 2009, six schools were awarded CABE education grants of £1,500 to support imaginative teaching about architecture and the built environment.
The six grants were awarded to three primary and three secondary schools which created exemplary learning experiences involving the students in the design process.
Projects were judged on education value, impact and best practice, and must be were completed by the end of March 2010. Applications could link to any curriculum area as long as the school demonstrated its relevance to one of the five following categories:
- Sustaining our cities and buildings
- Transforming school environments
- Learning about local places
- Participating in community projects
- Engaging with the design process.

- Virtual School for Children in Care, Cornwall
- Ercall Wood Technology College, Telford
