Outlined a range of approaches to considering and engaging with issues of identity and placemaking, with a focus on East Lancashire.

5 August 2004, Burnley

Following an introduction to the East Lancashire pathfinder by Sheila Tolley of Elevate, Chris Murray of CABE, David Carter of Design East Lancashire and Tom Booty of Rochdale Development Agency outlined a range of approaches to considering and engaging with issues of identity and place-making.

CABE enabler Ben Denton outlined frameworks to create delivery vehicles and Andy Foot of the Audit Commission gave feedback on reviews of pathfinder Area Development Frameworks.

Site visits were to Weaver's Triangle in Burnley, Barrowford and Nelson.
