Design review panels

We run a flagship design review panel and several specialist panels at CABE. There is also a network of affiliated design review panels.

CABE's design review panel

Our design review panel provides free expert advice on the design quality of schemes in England that will have a significant impact on their environment.

London 2012 panel

The London 2012 panel reviews proposals for new buildings and spaces associated with the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and considers their legacy.

Crossrail panel

The Crossrail panel will review designs for Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Whitechapel and Custom House.

Eco-towns panel

The Eco-towns panel provides expert advice on the design quality of four new Eco-towns in Northwest Bicester, Rackheath, St Austell and Whitehill Borden.

Schools panel

Our schools design panel includes architects with school design skills, and other specialists in education design. The panel will continue to review the planning applications of schemes that were previously reviewed.

Affiliated panels

We are affiliated with eight independent regional design review panels and work with them to provide consistent and good quality design advice across England.
