Seven thousand seat handball arena for the Olympic Games, a 6,000-seat goalball arena for the Paralympic Games, and a multi-sport arena for the local community in Legacy. Designed by Make Architects,

We have broadly supported this proposal since inception and we continue to do so. We think it will be a striking addition to the local environment and has every prospect of becoming a well used and well liked facility after the Games.

We note that planning conditions are to be applied in respect of a number of detailed matters which we think is appropriate.

As a final point, we note the indicative illustrations of how a future site plan for the area around this building might work. We think this is helpful and should become a reference document in respect of future proposals as and when they occur.
