Description
One enters the Portland stone front elevation into a 372m2 reception area. This leads through to the base of the new atrium. Beyond this, and visible through clear glass partitioning at ground level in the Beak Street building, is a TV production facility. Etched glass meeting rooms are to one side.
A central staircase leads from the reception area through a void in the first floor of the Golden Square building to a glass bridge across the atrium void at first floor level. From level one, a staircase runs up each side of the building. One of these is visible in the open plan area up to third floor level.
The atrium is a 450m2 area in the centre of the combined building, rising through two storeys. Its enclosure at first and second floor levels is formed using frameless structural glass supported on a floating steel ring.
The large boardroom is situated at the highest level of the Beak Street building on the third floor, with access to an external roof terrace overlooking the void between the two component buildings.
