Heart of Hounslow polyclinic

The Heart of Hounslow polyclinic brings preventative health and social care services closer to the community.

Three primary care trusts - Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham - formed a Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) partnership with Building Better Health to provide new primary care facilities in west London.

The first scheme for Hounslow PCT created a flexible, colourful, multi-purpose building on the site of the former Thelma Golding Health Centre.

The building sits in a prominent position on a main road in Hounslow and accommodates a range of community care services, including improved outpatient facilities and social care outreach.

The large scale of the building gives the hospital a significant urban presence. Its form has been designed carefully to contribute to adjacent streets and public spaces. Internally it has a flexible, legible space from which different services can be readily accessed.
