Broadwater Farm Children’s Centre

Broadwater Farm Children’s Centre brings together a range of services and facilities for around one hundred pre-school children, their parents and carers.

The Broadwater Farm Children’s Centre provides child and family health services, a place to play and learn, room to meet with other families and carers, access to family support services and help for those who want to volunteer in the community.

Originally intended as a new nursery facility for the adjacent primary schools, the proposal developed to become a larger childcare centre with longer opening hours, year-round provision, and flexible spaces for the various services which are offered. The design was developed in close dialogue with local residents. The building is bright and welcoming, relates well to its immediate surroundings and makes good use of daylight.
