What we do for local government

CABE has worked with almost every council in the country, helping them to seize the creative and economic opportunities of a specific project or a long-term programme of work.

We have worked with councillors, senior managers and officers in three key areas:

  1. Expert advice on the design of new developments
  2. Community engagement and partnership working
  3. Strategic advice on planning and placemaking

Expert advice for people in local government

  • Councillors

    Councillors

The coalition government's approach to localism marks a fundamental shift in the way to approach good design and placemaking. Councils, and councillors, now have real freedom and power to influence the quality of their local area.

  • Green space managers

    Green space managers

Park managers, park rangers, arboriculturalists, horticulturalists, green keepers, landscape contractors and managers plan and maintain our urban parks and green spaces.

  • Planners

    Planners

Planners are responsible for shaping a place and its surroundings, by making decisions about how land is managed and developed.

  • Public sector clients

    Public sector clients

Public sector clients include local authorities, publicly funded agencies, healthcare trusts and schools.
