Langerak 2

Utrecht, The Netherlands

Langerak 2

Leidsche Rijn is a large city extension plan of more than 30,000 dwellings to house 80,000 residents to be built on the edge of the city of Utrecht by 2015.

It is the largest of the Vinex developments that make up the Dutch government’s national housing programme.

Langerak 2, a neighbourhood in Leidsche Rijn, is one of the few contributions by a British architect to Dutch mainstream housing. While conforming to Dutch conventions of layout and construction, the 140 terraced houses for sale, designed by Maccreanor Lavington Architects, have a slightly English domestic character.
