Children's views on healthcare - first workshop
This 2003 report gives some early views from one day's workshop of eight children, meeting in two separate groups. The children provide their points of view on issues regarding a National Service Framework for children's health care. It is to be considered by those writing the Framework itself alongside the views they have from professional working groups.

Growing up matters
Families say in this 2007 report that teenagers with disabilities turning 18 can find it a 'nightmare' as they move from children's to adults' social services. The families say that they can experience problems because local councils fail to provide the same level of support for adults as they do for children. The report urges councils and Primary Care Trusts to work together and develop seamless services for disabled teenagers.

Making every child matter
This 2005 report is based on inspections of almost half of English councils between 2003 and 2005. It describes how children's social services respond to children in need, including those in need of protection and those looked after in the council's care. The report, which was sent to every council in England, highlights what councils and their partners need to do to make every child in need matter, and includes examples of good practice.
