Research

Robust evidence is vital in informing the development of strategy and policy that will improve outcomes for learners and the system as a whole. We develop and disseminate robust evidence on the impact of ICT on education.

Strategic adviser to government

We inform and provide strategic advice to government and partners based on research and evidence.

Co-ordinator of the e-strategy

We co-ordinate the work of all contributing partners to ensure that the Government’s strategy for education is delivered.

Providing insight through analysis and research

We share insight, knowledge and best practice to demonstrate the way technology can help transform education, challenging assumptions and acting as a catalyst for change.

In support of these roles, this site contains information on the e-strategy and the progress being made by government and partners to deliver it. It also brings together in one place, our strategic advice and guidance, evidence and research.

This is a new site that will evolve over its first few months. If you have any comments, or if there is anything specific that you would like us to add, please use the feedback link that we’ve included on every page.

Who is the site aimed at?

This site is aimed at those with an interest in ICT in education and the role that Becta, Government and partners have in the delivery of the e-strategy. This includes government departments and agencies, the research community and other strategic partners.
