Building for Life standards

Building for Life standards are given to all entries to the awards that score more than 14/20.

Entries to the Building for Life awards scoring more than 14/20 receive a standard:

  • Silver standard
    Scores 14/20 or 15/20 against the Building for Life criteria
  • Gold standard
    Scores 16/20 or more against the Building for Life criteria.

Developers and housing associations who achieve a gold or silver standard receive a plaque and the right to use the standard in the publicity for their scheme.

What is the difference between awards and standards?

Building for Life awards are given to exceptional entries selected by our panel of judges.

Building for Life standards are given to all entries assessed by Building for Life that score 14/20 or more.
