Towards the centre of the development the houses are more compact. The layout and form of the terraced houses is inspired by similar Victorian developments.

Public artwork was part of the planning requirement. The statue of five women refers to five radio towers used at Portishead in the war time

Public spaces are carefully detailed and landscaped, clearly marking pedestrian zones.
