Granville New Homes

Description

Built on a piece of underused open space in the London Borough of Brent, Granville New Homes is a key part of the first phase of the South Kilburn regeneration strategy.

Granville New Homes is delivered in an unashamedly contemporary style, with close attention to detailing to ensure integration and enhancement of the surrounding conservation area. Housing units are designed to deliver high quality living spaces, with generously spaced, dual aspect units, and residents enjoy access to balconies and a communal courtyard space.

The 110 housing units range from one bedroom flats to four bedroom maisonettes and both social rented and shared ownership units are available. The children’s and community centre that existed on the original site was incorporated into the designs and a new, high quality pocket park has been provided for the local community.

The layout follows the existing street pattern which making it easy to find your way around the scheme. On-street car parking is provided for about two fifths of the units and new tree planting between the stalls ensures the cars are well integrated into the streetscene.

Granville New Homes was built to the EcoHomes Very Good standard and include solar hot water panels, green roofs and rainwater harvesting help reduce the development’s environmental impact.
