Specific requirements from Turkmenistan

  • Original documents are required in support of passport applications. All original documentation will be returned to you.
  • If you are renewing an existing passport you will be able to retain this while your new passport is processed.  However, you will need to bring your current passport with you when you apply.  In most cases you will not need to provide any further documents with your application.
  • Extra documents may be required for first time applications.
  • An additional photocopy of all supporting documents, including your current British passport, will be required.

Please note, if you are applying for a second passport you will need to submit a letter from your employer requesting the reason why you need a second passport and a certified copy of the bio-data page of your original passport.  Consular Section can provide a certified copy service.  There is an additional charge for this.
