Thailand travel advice - severe weather in the Gulf of Thailand

Severe weather is expected in the Gulf of Thailand from 6 - 8 January.

From 6-8 January, strong winds and rough seas are expected in the Gulf of Thailand, and heavy rain in Surat Thani including Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. 

There is a possibility of flash flooding. Exercise caution if you are already in or intending to travel to these areas and monitor local weather reports from the Thai Meteorological Department.
