Why dance? A guide to dance and exercise

We all know how important being active is in preventing obesity, heart disease and other serious health problems later in life but it's not always easy to get enough exercise. We've got too much else going on, we're too tired and sometimes exercise just isn't that much fun, which is where dancing and Let's Dance with Change4Life come in.

Everyone knows that dancing's fun, but it also gets your heart beating a little bit faster. So, not only is it a really good way to get up and about but you'll have a really good time doing it!

We've put together a whole range of dance tips and ideas to encourage kids to dance and get the whole family inspired. There are plenty of activities and suggestions, everything from organised dance events to simple dance games that can be enjoyed at home. It's all about getting everyone up and about and having fun.
