Volunteering home

Our volunteers will make the Games happen, so we call them London 2012 Games Makers.

Games Maker applications are closed, but you can still register to be a London Ambassador.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson is running a separate volunteer programme during the summer of 2012, and needs 8,000 volunteers - called London Ambassadors - to welcome visitors from all over the world to London.

Volunteers will be based at 35 locations across the capital, from airports to tourist attractions, and will need to volunteer for six consecutive days. You can register at londonambassadors.org.uk until 31 December 2010.

Attention all Games Maker applicants

We are now sorting through your applications forms! From January 2011 we'll start inviting successful applicants to a selection event - these will take place between February 2011 and early 2012.

We'll be in touch soon. In the meantime, don't forget to log in to the Games Maker zone for news and updates, and to manage your application.
