London 2012 may have been on the lips of every British athlete for the last couple of years, but as I sit track side at these IPC World Athletics Championships, it is great that it has started to spread to other nations too.

As members of the LOCOG Athletes Committee we take our role very seriously. During our meetings we discuss many important issues relating to athlete services during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We look at transport schedules, venue and village design – down to such detail as the lift wait times, the effectiveness of the blackout curtains and testing the beds.

Youth Music Voices has been travelling all over the country giving young people the chance to try their hand (or rather, voice) at group singing. Each region holds tasters events: young people can turn up and get a feel for singing in a group, find out more about group singing in their area and also decide if they want to come back an audition to be part of Youth Music Voices ensemble – a group of 150 young people who...

Contracts have been awarded for the construction of one of the last venues to be built on the Olympic Park, the 5,000-seat Water Polo Arena.
Let's hope that the Olympic Water Polo competition will be as exciting at London 2012 as it has been at previous Games.

This is the latest London 2012 webcam photo taken inside the Olympic Stadium. The Stadium is located in the south of the Olympic Park on an island site surrounded on three sides by waterways.
