Good practice in purchasing training

Purchasing training that is tailored to your business can be a difficult, complicated process. This page is designed to help give you guidance on choosing the right training provider for your training needs.
The first thing to consider:
What type of training do you require to help you reach your business objectives?

  • Identifying what training you require can be hard. If you need help identifying your business’ training needs you can gain impartial advice from Business Brokers.

Choosing a training provider
When choosing a training provider you want to be sure that the provider is quality assured, thus you are getting the best training for your business.  This is why you should ask yourself the following questions when selecting a training provider:

  • Does the training provider understand the training needs of my business and will they cater accordingly?
  • How professional is the training provider?
  • Is the course value for money?

In selecting a training provider that has achieved the Training Quality Standard, you are assuring that all the above questions are answered in the most positive way. Certification against the Training Quality Standard is tough to achieve, so we can be confident in endorsing Certificated organisations to employers.

This is because the Training Quality Standard:

  • is designed to recognise and celebrate the best organisations delivering training and development solutions to employers
  • is designed to reflect employers' priorities and expectations in sourcing training and development solutions, and the practices of the organisations proven to be the best at delivering them
