LSIS has sponsored ALP to run this one-day event in collaboration with Ofsted which is aimed at work based learning providers. Joint event with Holex on Current Inspection Framework 25 and 26 March 2010 LSIS will also be running a joint event with Holex on the new inspection regime.

Spiritual, moral, social and cultural education in the learning and skills sector The Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) is launching guidance on spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) education. The guidance will help providers improve arrangements for equality and diversity, Every Child Matters, citizenship, community cohesion and safeguarding. To find out more about this launch event taking place on 15 March 2010, click here. | Matching apprentices with employers A college in Oxford is helping to reduce unemployment in the county thanks to an innovative approach to finding jobs for students and the long-term unemployed. Oxford and Cherwell Valley College’s Jobfinder scheme is matching its own apprentices with employers and helping to find jobs for those out of work who have received training from the college, especially so for those out of work for more than six months. This is thanks to funding from the Learning and Skills Improvement
