Any suspected abusive email from a genuine or forged Royal Navy address should be reported to the Royal Navy web editors (see para 13; our details). 

The practice of sending unsolicited bulk mail ("spam") or e-mail floods
("mailbombing") to Royal Navy addressees may be considered as an attempt to cause a denial of service, and as such will be considered as a serious security matter that may therefore be pursued with the postmaster of the originating address.
 

9. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Conditions of Use at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Conditions of Use in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.

10. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible or liable if we cannot perform our obligations under his Agreement because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as technical failure, severe weather, fire or explosion, civil disorder, war, or military operations, natural or local emergency, anything done by government or other competent authority or industrial disputes of any kind. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

11. Waiver

If you breach these conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts as regards any claim or matter arising in relation to this Agreement.

 14. Royal Marines Training tool: Avoiding Injury

You enter the fitness programme at your own risk. It is your own responsibility to check that you are fit enough to enter this programme. If you are in doubt about your medical fitness, you are advised to contact your doctor before exercising.

IN THE EVENT OF AN INJURY, STOP IMMEDIATELY, REST AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY AND SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE.

  • DO seek advice from a professional if you are unsure about your ability to take part in the programme
  • DO train regularly and progress at a sensible rate
  • DO try and train with a partner, if possible
  • DO follow the correct warm up and cool down procedure as part of your fitness regime
  • DO invest in a quality pair of running shoes and purchase a pair of sorbothane shock absorbent inners
  • DO avoid too much road running, try cross-country instead
  • DO contact your local GP or Sports Injury Clinic if you start to develop any abnormal aches or pains
  • DO wear light reflective clothing and reflectors when training at night
  • DON'T start the programme without first completing the conditioning programme
  • DON'T train with an injury - it will only become worse. Seek advice and treatment
  • DON'T train if you feel unwell. Remember you can be drastically weakened by viruses
  • DON'T train too soon after a meal. Wait at least 2 hours, or even longer after heavy meals
  • DON'T train if you have consumed a large amount of alcohol in the last 24-48 hours
  • DON'T run or train on ay untreated icy surfaces
