HMS Lancaster will sail into Portsmouth on Thursday from a successful seven-month deployment which saw her make a significant contribution to anti-piracy and counter-drugs operations in the Middle East.

On 27 May, HMS Lancaster will return to Portsmouth at the end of a highly successful 7-month deployment, which has seen the Type-23 frigate make a significant contribution to anti-piracy and counter-drugs operations in the Middle East.

Having sailed from Dubai on 21 February, HMS Lancaster has completed a 6-week patrol in support of Maritime Security Operations in the Middle East.

When Chief Petty Officer Engineering Technician (Marine Engineering) John Barnard sailed for a seven-month deployment in HMS Lancaster in October last year, he set himself a goal
