Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is an agency of the United Nations and works to promote and protect the human rights that are guaranteed under international law, as stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of 1948. The office acts as the focal point of human rights research, education, public information and advocacy for the United Nations.
