Credit reports now available online

  • Published: Tuesday, 13 July 2010

You can now access your statutory credit report online for a fee of just £2 from all three major UK credit reference agencies - Experian, Equifax, and Callcredit.

Easier access to credit reports

Credit reports allow you to monitor your financial commitments by viewing, for example, what credit commitments you have outstanding and any late payments you have made.

It is important as the information held on your credit reports may affect your ability to access further credit or get the best deals in the future.

Previously, statutory credit reports for £2 were only available by post, which could take seven days to arrive.

The new agreement between the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the industry means access to these credit reports will now be much easier.

Victims of identity fraud and the financially vulnerable will continue to have free access to their credit reports.

Further information

Further information on credit reference agencies is available on the Financial Services Authority's Moneymadeclear website.
