Valuing People Now

Valuing People Now is a three year cross government strategy for people with learning disabilities. It says that all people with a learning disability are people first with the right to lead their lives like any other.

This website is for people with learning disabilities, family carers and anyone who works with, or comes into contact with people with learning disabilities.

Latest News and Events

On the 14th of October 2010 we published the ‘Six Lives Progress Report’. It says that progress has been made to improve the healthcare for people with learning disabilities, but a lot of work still needs to be done.

It looks at what NHS and social care organisations have done to carry out the recommendations that were made by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and Local Government Ombudsman in their ‘Six Lives’ report.
