Belmas

Definition:

BELMAS seeks to advance the practice, teaching and study of educational management, administration and leadership in the United Kingdom, and to contribute to international development in these areas.

SAGE Publications publish BELMAS' journals, Management in Education and Educational Management Administration and Leadership. BELMAS offers a range of membership benefits including free print and on-line access to these two journals, plus free on-line access to Leadership, another SAGE published journal. The society is eager to recruit new members, especially practitioners and those going on to further study in education.

BELMAS holds an annual international conference and provides support, both financial and academic, for learning and development activities organised by BELMAS members.

In an effort to support a variety of research work relevant to the work of members, BELMAS supports a number of enterprises. BELMAS offers opportunities for gaining funding support for projects that involve collaborations and dissemination between different sectors within Education. At the annual conference, BELMAS awards a Thesis prize each year for the best doctoral thesis from those nominated by supervisors.
