Definition: The aim of BERA, the British Educational Research Association, is to ‘sustain and promote a vital research culture in education'. Its members number many educationists but also psychologists, sociologists, historians and philosophers. BERA is run by an Executive Council of elected and co-opted members and is a registered charity.
