The Agreeed Syllabus is in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Children. The syllabus offers a learning model for exploring issues in teaching about religion and beliefs, and resources from the six major religions applied to each of the key stages. There are also sections on students with special needs, Citizenship, Key Skills, Assessment, and the use of active learning strategies.
Designed for school managers and teachers the Agreed Syllabus provides a useful resource for ITE with a learning model that can be unpacked to explore issues around the teaching of religion and belief, and detailed schemes, lesson plans and resources that will provide a sound basis for planning and assessment.
