Raising the achievement of Gypsy Roma and Traveller pupils (DCSF, 2008)

 

This free booklet and accompanying DVD contains case studies featuring good practice in supporting the learning of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pupils in three very different primary schools.

 

Each case study focuses on a different aspect of good practice :

  • Creating a welcoming environment, family learning and secondary links
  • Building high aspirations, family learning, celebrating Gypsy Traveller culture
  • Curriculum development, transition and working with parents

This resource is useful for diversity training, whole school development and as a stimulus for discussion.
