Mathematics spreadsheets: Problems
Resource containing multiplication and division problem solving tasks involving zebras, spiders and triangles.

Securing number facts Year 4 Unit 3: 3D shapes
Interactive whiteboard resource for securing number facts in Year 4. Tasks include naming common 3D shapes and describing their features, and using common 3D shapes to make patterns, pictures and models.

Year 5 into Year 6 mathematics: Interpreting line graphs
Interpreting line graphs contains activities for children moving from Year 5 to Year 6 so that they can draw conclusions from line graphs, collect, select and organise data using information and communication technology to present line graphs and identify further questions.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Multiplication grid
This is an interactive multiplication grid. It can be used to practise multiplication and division facts and to explore patterns within these. You can explore links between particular tables to show, for example, that doubling a 3 times table fact gives the corresponding 6 times table fact. You can also change the values down the side and along the top to, for example, demonstrate the relationship when you multiply a number by 0.2, 2 and 20, mix up the times tables or go beyond 10 x 10 for more able pupils.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Number line counting
Number line counting resource that can be used to teach new ideas and to provide opportunities for consolidation and application of knowledge, skills and understanding.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Sequences
This flexible resource provides opportunity to explore sequences with different start numbers and step sizes. Presenting them on different grids can extend the level of challenge. This spreadsheet can be used to support questioning to extend strategies for finding missing numbers in sequences, and can be used actively by children to generate and test their own number sequences.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Missing number or sign
This spreadsheet randomly displays a calculation using one of the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. The numbers or the signs can be hidden and pupils can use their knowledge of facts to reason which numbers or signs would make the calculation correct.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Multiplication and division facts – 2 to 6
This file randomly generates a four by four multiplication grid that can be used to rehearse the pupils’ knowledge of multiplication and division facts. Children can develop their reasoning skills by being asked to consider using known facts to help find the unknown facts.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Decreasing number grid generator
This file enables the user to generate a range of number grids. On the menu page, the user can choose between two and 12 columns, the start number and the step. It is possible to use whole numbers, negative numbers and decimals. The grids can be used to explore the number system within a problemsolving context.

Mathematics spreadsheets: Flexible problems
This spreadsheet workbook provides an opportunity to practice calculation strategies and application to solve twostep problems. The versions can be used with or without solutions, which provides a way of checking answers. Options include ‘fixed cost’, ‘flexible cost’ and ‘random cost’ problems.
