We are looking to recruit a Career Development Fellow within the National Institute for Medical Research. The position involves the development of advanced models of sequence evolution (including non-stationary and non-homogeneous models) with applications to diverse systems, particularly influenza (reference code NIMR10/529).

We are looking to recruit a Career Development Fellow within the National Institute for Medical Research. The position involves the development of advanced models of sequence evolution (including non-stationary and non-homogeneous models) with applications to diverse systems, particularly influenza (reference code NIMR10/529).

We are looking for candidates to have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate area (evolutionary biology, biophysics, computer science or related fields). You should have an interest in evolution. You should have experience computer programming, for example, computer literacy within Java, C++, or equivalent. You should be able to learn quickly, have an interest in collaborative work, have the ability to interact with others, communicate scientific ideas effectively and have a proven publication record.
