Reconstituted Electricity Networks Strategy Group
The reconstituted Electricity Networks Strategy Group (formed in July 2008) provides a high level forum which brings together key stakeholders in electricity networks that work together to support Government in meeting the long-term energy challenges of tackling climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions both within the UK and abroad and ensuring secure, clean and affordable energy.
The initial focus of the group will be on actions needed to facilitate and support the connection of new and renewable energy sources required to meet the proposed EU target of 15% of UK energy from renewable sources by 2020.
