The last few months have seen more than their fair share of disruptions. The snow arrived before Christmas (and seemed to fall on every day apart from 25 December) and just as everyone was prepared to go back to work in January it struck again. For school children this was a chance for an extra holiday, but for the rest of us it was an extra complication that business could have done without.
One of the major messages from our consultation last year was that businesses need procedures to be implemented consistently - the unexpected costs money. Whether it is current practices in ports or the implementation of the new procedures, SITPRO is working to provide this consistency for traders, even if we can’t control the weather!
